I purchased a tone from the iTunes Store but now want it deleted from the 'Tones' list in 'Settings'. I've deleted it from iTunes and resynced and iTunes now says there are no tones on my phone but they're still there through the 'Settings' menu.

Is there no way to actually delete purchased tones from your phone? Thanks!

try this,

Settings, itunes and app store

where it says show all turn off music

or

Settings, Music, Show All Music set to off

those are not "on your phone"
but they are listed as purchased songs if its not turned off

Already had that setting off.

I managed to get rid of them using the demo version of iExplorer and deleting the .m4r files from the 'Purchased' directory.

Really annoying. Even under 'Usage' it showed that they were on my phone but with no way to delete them.
