Some time ago I removed Mail from my system because it kept getting in the way when third party apps wanted to send a mail (It wouldn't let Entourage be the default email client).

Since I have removed Mail Entourage has become extremely buggy crashing more than ten times per day. So I've decided to bite the bullet and finally convert to Mail. But here's the problem...

I have reinstalled Mail 4.0 using my Snow Leopard Disk when I try to open it I get this message: (SEE BELOW)

So I have tried to do a Software Update but it says that everything is up to date and if I look in the list of programs installed Mail is not listed it is listed as "Optional Installs"

PLEASE HELP - How do I fix this???

I was going to suggest downloading and reinstalling the 10.6.2 combo update. Let us know if your reinstall/reupdate fixes it.
