I had NetBarrier and VirusBarrier installed as a trial and all of a sudden Safari won't allow cookies even though I've checked "allow" cookies and I tried using Firefox instead and same thing. Now when I try to log into certain sites it won't allow me(such as my!yahoo, etc..) and I have adjusted settings, taken NetBarrier and VirusBarrier off the machine, rebooted, run through File Vault, etc... but to no avail.
Any gurus out there that can help?

I don't know

I haven't found anything. Unfortunately I just removed them before thinking of uninstalling them. I might have to reinstall them and then try any uninstall utility they have.

Thanks.

Have you searched your HD for "leftover" files? Look for anything that might be still be in your Library or System folders with "NetBarrier" of "VirusBarrier" in the names. You might still have a .plist (preference) left over.

Cheers

I did a search and eradicated all the plist files and other folders left over from it and now my cookies work again. Thanks for the help you two!

Mark.
