Hello~
I have an HP Photosmart wireless printer that I've had for a year and a half. Before I moved it was networked with my home (embarq/phone company) network. It also networked fine for kid's church (also an embarq/phone company network). No problems networking it myself at my old house.
However, it will NOT network in my current apartment. It's a charter cable network here. I've had several friends look at it, two of who are self described geeks (only one is an apple-head).
In desperation to PRINT (I'm in grad school), I picked up a USB cord and tried to print with a connection. No go. It just "searches for printer" and tells me the printer is offline.
For what it's worth, I have a 2009 macbook pro, and I'm running Mac OS X 10.6.7.
The cable company tells me to call the printer company and the printer company tells me to call the cable company! Ug!
I HATE this printer, but I can't afford a new one right now.
PLEASE help. Thank you!
~Laura
