My PC uses XP SP3. As soon as I start a movie in iTunes 8, iTunes stops running. I was able to play movies before I upgaded to version 8. Also, when I open QuickTime, it displays loading, and stops running. I uninstalled & reinstalled iTunes & QuickTime, and still have the same problem.

Any ideas on how to fix?

I think I found the problem. "Playing videos purchased on the iTunes Store requires an Intel Pentium D or faster processor". The PC I'm using has Celeron processor. Now if I'd could find an earlier version of iTunes, I might be able to downgrade iTunes, & play videos.
