help needed, thanks very much in advance,
I am on 10.5.4, also happened on 10.5.3, there should be a cehckbox under desktop on the system preferences to uncheck so i can get an opaque menu bar, right? the problem is there is nothing there, nor on the screensaver section, what is wrong?

first thingthat comes to my head is did you apply any hacks to make the menu bar look any different in 10.5.1 or 10.5.0? if so did you reset the hack before the 10.5.2 update which should of added the translucent menu bar option?

thanks, but no, never did any hack and I just did a fresh install before 10.5.4. its a macpro if maybe that can help

Odd. Just did a fresh install and can no longer find the option to remove transparency under Desktop & Screen Saver. Seems Apple removed the checkbox.

Fresh install to what? I'm on 10.5.5 and it is there, right where it is supposed to be.
