Hey everyone, quick question:

I updated my Apple ID to my current e-mail, and then realized that my iCloud account is also associated with that. I went to my iPhone to update my account info for iCloud, and after opening iCloud it alerted me that my username or password was incorrect. However, it only gives me the option to enter a new password, not update my e-mail (the ID).

Anyone know what to do with this situation? Help is very much appreciated.

It appears it is extremely difficult - if not impossible - to change the email originally attached to the Apple ID, even though there are official directions on how to do it. I'm amazed you were able to change it.

I attempted to change my Apple ID from Gmail to my iCloud email, but it wouldn't let me, saying I couldn't use an iCloud address. However, somehow in all my efforts, I managed to change the login to iCloud and the App Store to my iCloud email. The master email, though, is still my Gmail address. Haven't figured out how this happened.
