Hello! I'm choosing an audio interface to play/record my electric guitar in garageband. I would appreciate your help..

So, what I need:

- one mac compatible audio interface with lowest latency (usb or firewire)
- two guitar inputs so i could record/play with my friend
- price... to be honest, i don't want to spend more than $400

That all. I would be very glad if some one could help me) Thank you!!

p.s. anyone have experience in using icon firexon??

i have the desktop konnekt 6 by T.C. Electronic , bought it for 180,- its good quality. has 2 TRS outs to speakers, 1 XLR in for a MIC and 2 Line Inputs for recording over TRS, has a big volume knob and an extra headphones knob with DB meters.

For that price, I would consider the Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 DSP.

Decent preamps (as good as you will get for an integrated box at this price), good management software for near zero-latency monitoring, VRM built in, and under $400. Hard to go wrong.

None of the boxes in that price range are going to be drastically different. I would focus on buying boxes with good builds and good driver support (Focusrite, MOTU).
