Need techies here.

Ok I have a both (2008 models)

iMAC
3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 24"
4GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

and

MacBook Pro 15"
2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

Question: Would a new 2011 MBP 13" 2.3 i5 be faster, or same as both or either of my iMac and MBP 15" I own now?

Reason: I am consolidating I dont use them at same time. I need lighter smaller then 15" MBP but not lose performance. I do photo editing via PS and Lightroom, nothing hard core. I wanted to get a new MBP 13" to connect external monitor for editing, and something lighter and smaller on the road. I dont edit on the road, just small things conversions from RAW to DNG maybe. Thinking selling both 2008 machines for MBP 13" i5 and iPad2.

I have the 21.5" iMac 3.06 Ghz with 6GB ram and recently purchased i5 13" MBP that replaced my old 2008 unibody MacBook core 2 duo 2.0 Ghz.

I don't know how well benchmarks help but my aforementioned iMac scored 4800 in xbench and my i5 MBP scored 5900.

I think for your needs an i5 MBP with a monitor will be sufficient.

Great guys, thanks. I thought it might be a tad faster. Thanks knew you guys come through on the info. Ill go pick up a MBP 13" today.

How much are a

MacBook Pro 15"
2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

and

iMAC
3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 24"
4GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

Selling for used with Apple Care till Sep, 2011?

I would say the MacBook could go for 700-800. The iMac for $600. Rough guesses
