Hey guys,
With black Friday sales coming up/starting already, I am looking to add one, possibly two new external displays. I was hoping someone could help me choose the best option, or offer any suggestions that will work with my setup.
I have a 2021 16" Macbook Pro with the M1 Pro chip. It has 16 GB of ram. I'm still running Monterey, so I am guessing I'll need to update that.
I've been using 2 BenQ PD2700U monitors for the last couple of years without much issue. Occasionally, one of them will randomly start flickering and kind of "ghost imaging" darker screens, but if I switch to a window with lighter colors or a white background it disappears. The other issue I had in the past was if I ran them past 60 Hz refresh rate, one would continuously lose its connection. They're connected via HDMI and USBC to HDMI.
That said, I'd like to get an ultrawide monitor. Possibly two if it can support it.
I use this computer specifically for trading, so I do need a monitor that can display fine details to look at price charts and spreadsheets. I don't game or anything like that, this is purely for productivity.
Ideally I'd like something 40" to 49" wide and if possible with the curved screen. Sadly the 50" plus are too large for my desk, so I have to rule those out. My goal is to stack 2 of the monitors if this computer can support them.
I was looking at the Dell UltraSharp U4924DW, but then realized I should probably ask people here who might have better suggestions.
That said, if anyone has any suggestions, I would really appreciate your assistance!
Thank you very much!
