I want to connect my Mac Mini to to my TV, as a Media Center

However, the only spare connector left on my TV is DVI-I

Is it possible to connect my mac mini to my tv via DVI-I? with a another cable?

if so can you recommend one? as i'm quite lost as to what i need.

Thanks

They make a adapter I think Apple sells them that goes from dvi to super vhs. Your tv needs to be a more modern one with at least super vhs connections.

Is the port on the back of the Mini not a DVI? Can you not just connect using a DVI cable?

Should be as simple as buying a dvi cable to connect the mini's dvi connector to the TV's DVI connector - that's how mine's connected to my TV (I have an Intel mini, don't know about the PPC minis). Works like a charm. If the PPC mini has a standard VGA connector, I guess a VGA to DVI-A cable should work.

DVI-I means the dvi cable can carry both analog and digital signals. DVI-D would be a cable that can carry only digital signals. DVI-A is analog only. Since the TV is a DVI-I, it should accept either if only one is an option.

For cables, monoprice.com is the place to look: http://www.monoprice.com
