i got a macbook for crimbo and was setting it up with my printer etc but when i came to set it up with my jamo amp i couldn't get it to work, with my other laptop and my work pc it works fine by just connecting it to the headphone jack, it is a generic audio in port on the back of the amp with a red and a black av. any ideas why it wont work. JC

What kind of MacBook do you have? Only the higher MacBook Pro's have audio in ports on the side. You might just have a headphone jack, which won't take audio in.

sorry, ive just re read the post and i didnt explain my self very well. i have quite a basic macbook and when i was taling about the audio in ports they are on the amp. so to clarify i want to use the headphone port on my macbook and connect it to the audio in port on my amp. JC

No reason why it shouldn't work. Check the Sound Output options in System Preferences. Do headphones/external speakers work with your MacBook? Is the Mac's volume muted?
