Help connecting to bluetooth NAP on OSX

Can i use the bluetooth support in OSX 10.3.8 to connect to a computer running a bluetooth network access point such as Bluez on Linux? It would seem like this should be possible as I use by OSX powerbook to connec to to the internet via my BT enabled phone via PPP.
