Help: Connecting Two Macs via Ethernet

Hello,

I am trying to create local network via Ethernet.
File Sharing is On (both Macs).
When trying to Connect to Server I can see the Computer I am trying to connect to. I double click on the icon. The "Not Connected" message is displayed in the window. I click "Connect As" and try to connect as a guest first. I get a message: "Access to your account on the server "iMac" has been denied." I tied to connect as a Registered User, no luck with that too.

Please help if you know how. Thanks in advance!

If you have not tried it yet, authentic using the short name of the account on the remote Mac. Sometimes that works better than the long name which is usually the one filled in by default.

You have Internet Sharing 'on' with one of the Macs?

Just file sharing is on on both devices.

Are you just trying to copy some files over? Maybe just Air Drop them?
