help! console appears at startup!!!

when i reboot my mac, i get the network icon and then flashing question mark and finder folder icon, then the screen enters console mode with error messages and login: and password: screen.

wot do i do!?!!?!!

What have you been playing with?

I'd boot off the system disk and repair permissions/disk and see if that helps.

can you get into osx or does it just stop at the console. I think what happened was you changed your startup disk from your HD to network startup. If you can get into osx just reselect you startuo disk, if not then IDK
