I'm either losing my mind, having really bad luck or I have some super weird problem with my data.

Please bear with me....4 days ago I started having a problem with my 6 plus display, that touch screen was very intermittently responsive to touch. It also had some gray lines that would flash across the top of the screen and then jump to the whole top half of the phone.

I went through all the basic troubleshooting but Apple seemed to agree it was a hardware issue with the display and sent me a replacement which I got today. I put my sim card in and walked through all the setup screens (Touch ID, Apple Pay, etc) and then chose to restore from backup. I set the phone down and watched a show and when I returned to it the replacement is doing the exact same thing.

I can't even unlock the screen. It's entirely possible that the refurb that I got also has a display issue but what I don't get is why did it work fine through all the setup? I even triple checked that I didn't box up the new phone! Is it possible some sort of corruption with my backup or SIM card is causing this issue? I'm so frustrated and completely without a phone. Any thoughts or advice??
