Here is the story. I'm on a trip and fill up my Memory Stick. I offload the pics to my MBP (to a file on the HD, not with iPhoto or other program), make what I thought was a dupilicate copy of the pics, delete the memory stick, and then start emailing.

In the middle of emailing my MBP suddenly shuts down...something that hasn't happened since Apple replace the battery for me a year ago. When the MPB shut down it must have corrupted the Jpgs because I only get halfs and quarters of the image now.

As soon as I discovered the pics were corrupted I made a disk image of the Memory Stick. When the trip was over I tried a few data recover programs, to no avail.

All of the EXIF data is there and most still have the thumnail image so I'm hoping the damage isn't that extensive and they are recoverable, at least to some degree. I'm thinking it's just header damage, but that is as far as my knowledge goes.

There seem to be a ton of programs for the PC for Jpg repair/recover, but few for the Mac. I'll go PC if I knew which program to use. Any advice? So far I've tried Stellar Phoenix, Klix, Graphic converter, CocoaView, FileSalvage, & Photo Rescue.

Also how do I clone the disk image I made of my memory stick back to the physical memory stick?
