help.. "Customize" not working on JB iPhone 3G v. 2.1

I have just rescently jailbroke my 3G running 2.1. I installed customize from Cydia, and it's not working. It will not load anything. I can't edit system strings, nothing comes up when clicked. Also I can't browse themes for it says "customize could not load due to no connection. Please connect and re run customize". But I am connected to wifi! I don't get it. Is there anything else I need to install to allow it. I think there is but I can't remeber. ( it's been a while since running this app on my og iPhone.) So please, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

P.S.- Yes I have reinstalled item from cydia and it still doesn't work.

Steer clear of Customize. It's extremely buggy and can even cause serious errors requiring a restore.

Use Winterboard for themes...there's tons of Youtube vids if you need help using it + help on installation of themes

Editing System Strings without customize!!

Hey Guys I posted on a website called www.lanverse.com on how to do this.

Please check it out, i'm not trying to plug another website lol but people ask me all the time and its simple as pie!

i'm also adding sections on custom ringtones, custome iphone sounds (like sms, mail, dialer buttons, etc) and how to create winterboard themes.
