I recently experienced some crashing problems with Cydia and I tried fixing it by deleting the contents of the var/lib/lists except for the partial folder. It managed to fix the crash but when I opened the Cydia app, I got a message saying:

Your copy of Cydia does not know what version it is, itself, running. This issue is normally caused by a corrupted /var/lib/dpkg/status file. This seems to be caused by asking redsn0w 0.7.x to install both Cydia and Ice during the jailbreak. etc etc

After that, I tried to download some files from Cydia but it gave me an error message:

Cydia: Error Couldn’t configure pre-depend dpkg for ncurses, probably a dependency cycle.

So basically this is where I'm stuck.. I want to uninstall and reinstall Cydia but I can't download anything like MobileTerminal, SSH, iFile or Cydelete because Cydia keeps on giving me that message. I also don't want to restore my iPod. Is there anyway to do this without screwing it up even more?

What do I do?! PLEASE HELP ME! :(
Thanks
