iPod touch HELP!!!!!!! Dead iPod Touch 1G

Ok. I have recently recieved an iPod Touch 1G 8GB. My friend gave it to me said it didn't work. He was right. The thing is dead. Doesn't boot... When you plug it into the computer of ac adapter, no responce. I have tried all sorts of button combinations, but no luck. I have also tried taking it apart and nothing is broken. Everything is in its place. Please help. i need help ASAP! Thank you!

Take it to Apple and get a replacement for $199. That's your only choice. I wish I had a better solution for you, but I don't. Paying $199 through Apple would be the cheapest way to go.

well see I have an iPhone 4 i don't need a fix... It's my friend's i was wondering if i would do something to see if i can revive it. Any programs or something?

One of many possible causes... A dead battery. Ifixit.com has repair guides...
