Help deciding whether to buy a 3GS and sell factory unlocked 3G

Hi. Dilemma. I live in France and have a legally unlocked 16 GB 3G. The phone is 11 months old and has developed a crack on the back. Today I called Apple and they are sending me a replacement. So I will have a new 16 GB legally unlocked 3G. I was not really planning to upgrade to 3GS but now I am thinking is probably a good time as I could (I hope) get a decent price for a new legally unlocked 3G phone and use that cash towards buying a new 32 G 3GS. I am thinking if I do not do it now the money I will get later on my 3G will be a lot less because it will no longer be new. I am kidding myself? I can get a 32GB 3GS unlocked for EURO 750 (just over US$ 1,000). Thoughts?
