HELP! Delete button opens iTunes

When I type certain letters it is typing another letter simultaneously with it. Such as if I type a s it types fs. If I type a r it types rw. The 2 types 24. When I press the delete button to get rid of the unwanted letter, it opens iTunes and the next delete button press starts the first song in the library and any additional deletes presses restart the song. However, the delete button with the navigation buttons does not open iTunes. I have gotten rid of my widget, restarted the computer (former PC user), typed killall iTunes in terminal. Nothing is working so far. Please help!!!!!!!
