I wish to make a battlestation for work and recreation in my college dorm.

It should look like the diagram in the attachment below.

Only requirement here is that the 3rd party monitor have a 1080p output.

Any suggestions and responses are appreciated. Thanks! :D

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A334 Safari/7534.48.3)

You can easily get that done for under $400. Infact possibly under $200. The thunderbolt to hdmi will be stupidly cheap (like $10 just search minidisplay port to hdmi on eBay) somebody else can suggest a good monitor as I haven't bought a new one in years. Also the Xbox supports hdmi without a problem so you can just ditch the component cable.

A minidisplayport to hdmi cable will work just as well? JOY! :) :)

Well, the newer ones support hdmi. But I got my xbox 360 way back during the summer of 2007, and it ONLY has a plug-in for component cables and no HDMI port whatsoever. But all I need is a simple component to HDMI adapter, right?

I have no clue how to assist you in figuring this out, however, I like the fact you are building a "battlestation", very cool:cool:
