So, I'm trying to install a nice, new OWC Extreme Pro 6G, and Disk Utility simply won't recognize it.

I can locate it in the System Profiler, but when I'm trying to use the disc to Install Mac OS X, nada. I don't know what to make of it. Unfortunately, my backup drive for my old Macbook uses an old Firewire port, and simply cannot connect to my nice, new MBP, so I can't use Carbon

Any help out there, other than simply installing my old HDD back in? Am I SOL?
