ya so i installed summerboard (do i actually need this?) and it said restart the touch for the effects to take place so i did and now the dock got moved to the top. How do i fix this?

There are probably other apps that can do it, but SummerBoard is the most popular. You could also do it manually by SFTPing into it and then changing the picture icons yourself, but that's a bit more complicated.

I can't seem to get it to install correctly by doing it manually... can anyone help me?

Follow these install instructions using CyberDuck or your favorite SFTP client.

From Media_sym (not Media or Library)...

Copy the following files to the following folders.

SummerBoard.framework -> /Library/Frameworks/
SMBPrefs.app -> /Applications/
Themes -> /var/root/Library/SummerBoard/
com.apple.SpringBoard.plist -> /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/
