Repair Permissions, or remove the 'dock.plist' file (usually called 'com.apple.dock.plist') from your User's Preferences Folder (~/Library/Preferences).

i'm running 10.6 and it just happened suddenly

i did delete the dock.plist and it's working now. altho i have to reconfigure the dock but it's ok but i was just wondering what could of caused it? could it be parallels desktop? because it did add another folder for easy access to my windows xp program files
