Hi

I just bought my new iMac 27 inch just before the new thin one came out and I'm just wondering can you use a wireless keyboard and mouse that uses a receiver which you plug in to a USB port to setup windows 7 because I've been told you can't use your apple keyboard or mouse and the only thing I got around the house is a keyboard and mouse which uses a receiver which you plug into your computer/iMac via USB. 1 micro receiver for the mouse and a another receiver for the keyboard. Thanks guys!

Also. Is the installation a smooth one?

I assume you are installing win 7 via boot camp?

Yes, the install should go fine. Just follow on screen instructions via boot camp assistant...

I used my apple "wired" keyboard and wireless apple mouse and had no issues. I did have to go thru the install process with out a mouse however.

At least until the boot camp drivers were installed.

You're probably better off using any wired usb mouse as well. I doubt your 3rd party wireless kB and mouse will work, best to get a cheap usb mouse...

check link below as well:
