HELP. DOWNGRADED TO IOS 7.1.2 ON IPHONE 5 FROM IOS 81q :/

i didnt like ios 8 so i downloaded ios 7.1.2 to install on my global iphone 5 a1429
i click update and select 7.1.2 file and updates normal but now my iphone 5 doesnt identify my sim. shows searching and says cannot activate.
im stuck. what should i do and dont want my data to erase.

Which 7.1.2 did you download? You should get the iphone 5,2
