Help - downloaded latest security update and resolution is messed up

I have my Powerbook hooked up to a 22 inch monitor and yesterday I downloaded the latest security update and realized the resolution is messed up. It seems to stretched, so I went to the display settings and realized that my computer is not recognizing the displays full resolution anymore. It only gives my a few low resolution settings, whereas before it offered about 15 different settings, which ranged from full resolution to low. Is there any way to fix this?

I've tried everything I can think of an nothing seems to work. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
