Help Driver.Cab error?

Hi, I just got a Windows XP professional disk, and when I tried to load it on bootcamp, everything went swimmingly except for some reason it could not copy the "driver.cab" file. After numerous restarts, I realized that it I need the correct drivers to run windows xp with basic functionality. After this, I tried VM Ware Fusion, and for some reason, It did not recognize my cd-rom disk? Any help with these issues is GREATLY appreciated. Thank You.
