Hey,
First post
I have an iMac 700 and recently the DVD player stopped working. This happened around the time my kids got a Daddy ay Care DVD. Of note, our standalone DVD player also stopped working at this time.
Whenever I put any DVD in the slot it is not recognized. It just spins and doesn't open the player. If I put the DVD in, manually open the DVD player, and push play I get a message that says "NOT PERMITTED".
How can I get to the bottom of this? I have tried searching Apple Support with no real leads.
Is my DVD screwed? Can I reset something and get it back?
By the way it still recognizes and plays CD's. I don't know of it burns CD's
Any Help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Stephen
