I'm hoping someone can help me solve my problem.
I am running System 9.2 (don't know if that makes any difference, but just thought I'd tell you anyway). I have a Epson C43 series printer. My printer just ran out of colour ink so I replace it, but when I did that, an error message came up and said something about needing internal repair maintenance. There are two lights on the printer in the left hand corner, an on/off and paper. Green and Red lights. There are now flashing alternatively and won't stop.
I did a search on Google and apparently my counter needs to be reset something about the pads needing to be replaced. I don't really want to take to the repair shop if possible, because they will probably charge me more than the printer is worth. Apparently there is a programme that can be downloaded to reset the problem, but it's not compatable with the Mac's. I remember the guy at the ink shop once told me that Epson have these combinations of keys that can be pressed to fix various things, that they don't tell you about. But this guy has gone now and I can't remember what he told me. I have tried holding both keys down together to see what happens, nothing. I have tried turning the printer off, holding the keys down turning it back on and then letting go, either one at a time or both together. Still nothing.
Has anybody had this happen to them, and does anybody know how to fix this problem please.
I was just in the middle of printing something important, and now this has happened!
Cheers, QB
