I have a 2007 Blackbook with Snow Leopard installed. I tried to install Bootcamp but it said that I had to do an erase + reinstall first. I booted my mac up from the OS X disc, got past the language menu, then got a pop up stating "MAC OS X Cannot Be Installed." I can't click on Disk Utility or anything else on the menu bar. How else can I erase my HD?

Possible your hard drive is failing and the installer knows this and will not even try to install the disc.

I'd say reset PRAM and try booting the disc again and going to disk utility directly after the language screen. re-partition the drive to 1 partition and make sure GUID partition map is selected. Install the OS, then run bootcamp.

Also make sure you are using a snow leopard disk or the original gray disk that came with your system
