Have been trying to install Snow Leopard on my MBP. It's a pretty standard config, 2.2Ghz Core Due, 2 Gigs RAM. I have enough hard drive space - about 40Gigs free. I'm still running Tiger.
I checked the error log, and this is the operative part:
Sep 28 13:34:03 localhost OSInstaller[142]: reading from /System/Installation/Packages/Canon_SharedLibraries2.pkg: Input/output error
Sep 28 13:34:03 localhost OSInstaller[142]: error processing data: Input/output error

Sep 28 13:35:07 localhost OSInstaller[142]: Install failed: The Installer could not copy the necessary support files.
Could anyone help? I tried looking for the relevant directory but I can't find it anywhere. Do I need to have my DSLR plugged in?
