Help!!expansion Slot Utility

Hi ,guys
i use expansion Slot Utility to change pci express Profile!
i dont know why,
it functions with the slot1 only under x8!
if slot1 is under x16, I get only blacke screen!!!
what should i do now?
and i use ati1900xt !
so ,please help me!
