Hi,

This is probably a simple answer to a simple question, but for the life of me I can't find how to export my project in iMovie 08 as a full quality dv file. I would like to reimport this edited dv file into iMovie HD for greater editing options.

Can anyone give me a quick answer here? I would like the highest quality dv possible for this video.

Thanks,
David

I'm doing with through memory ... so bear with me.

In iMovie'08, I think there are two export choices in the Menu. One of them will offer the new "media library" options, such as 540p, 360p, etc.

The other one, I think is called "Export to Quicktime" has the traditional export dialog window where you can choose all of the export functions. I know that full quality DV is among them, I've used it.

I'm sure someone else that has their Mac in front of them can confirm this.

That's quite right. You can also specify to preserve your aspect ratio in the settings, either choosing 4:3 or 16:9. Needless to say, this same method works for iMovie '09 as well.

Thanks for the good tip!
