Help External HD going to Sleep

After a few minutes of inactivity causing Time Machine not to load properly if needed. Had to shut down HD and Restart. Time Machine recognizes it and Do its thing... But then if HD goes for a few mins in inactivity it just goes into a non recoverable sleep....

check your energy saver prefs. You can set the HDs to not sleep.

Thanks for the suggestion, unchecked... Continues in non recoverable sleep after a few minutes of inactivity....
