I have an older computer:
Pismo Powerbook G4 550 MHz happily using OS10.4.10 and File Vault on.
Once did an archive and install a few months ago when I could not fully remove a program that caused problems. Everything worked fine.
Now, after going to OS 10.4.11 after Cocktail cleaning I somehow did something that caused my cursor to move my desktop. I mean, when the cursor moved . . . everything move.
Fought with setting, resettings, defaults, and all of that. After a few hours, gave up. I made sure I had backed up the REALLY important stuff.
So, I Archived and Installed.
Now, I cannot get to my old home folder. It exists. It is recorded as a size of 40 Gigs--so it is it. But when I click on it . . . it is listed as empty. The hard drive has not "emptied" it--the reinstall added on to what I had.
Before I start ***** things up further I decided to ask. I have tried logging out to go to a new user, but that does not work. My "new" account is all default and I have not reset things yet.
Help.
Thanks.
