I'm looking for a calendar app that allows me to view like the attached photo, with color coded appointments, without syncing to Google calendar. Anyone know of an app, the one I use is not that great, so I'm looking for another, I don't care about the cost.

Try Week Cal

Week Cal's "mini-month" view looks a lot like the image you have. Definitely look into that application. It's pretty solid and often updated with new features. In Week Cal, you can have color coded appointments and you do not need to sync with Google Calendar.

I didn't see an app called "WEEK CAL", is that the correct name?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_5 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8L1 Safari/6533.18.5)

I use pocket informant. I like the task and calendar intigration along with numerous configurations.

Don't know the full story.. but I guess it came out earlier in the year, and was pulled after a week, with little explanation. The Dev seemed to believe that it was too close to an apple rendition, but I have no clue.
I received an email from the developer saying pretty much the same thing. Apparently Apple believed that it had too many similarities to their own iPad calendar application. The Week Cal folks seem willing to make the necessary changes but (in their words) communication is slow with Apple.

CalenGoo is the best!

My experience: CalenGoo is the very best. I have a long history regarding calerdars and planners, from the Psion days, and my choice is CalenGoo, which is very flexible and useful, and simple for daily use. (BTW: I have no benefits or something like that for this recommodation.)

in case anyone is interested, I found what I'm looking for. It's SmartCalendar(Eng).

Simplicity at it's best. I can add and color code items very easily. I'm still finding out other things it can do, it's .99 cents.

If that one doesn't work out for you in the future take a look at this one: saisuke.

I Need a calendar that has the month view(days) color coded as well. This and calengoo worked best for me, and both synch with google.
