Hello guys.

A friend of mine los his iphone yesterday at the beach. I told him to use find my phone and he just found it about 10 minutes away from here. Now... what do we do with that information? Should we call the police?
What is the procedure? I told him to call the police.

Thank you.

If you believe it's safe I would go looking for it with the find my iPhone app. Make sure you lock it with the number to reach you.

You should definitely call the police--if you try to track the culprits yourselves, you have no idea what situation you may walk into. For your own safety, call the police. No phone is worth putting yourselves in harm's way!

This is the place. A cuban ghetto in Miami.

Definitely call the police. A teen in my hometown got shot recently when he went to find his stolen iPhone on his own. He didn't survive. Better to stay safe.

Nah, is the house in the corner in front of those. We zoomed in.

My friend is calling the police. Grrrr. But how cool we got to find it so easy. I did a search for my stuff and all of them are within 50 feet from me. My iPhone appears on the street.

Thank you guys for being there. :*

My friend called the police here in Miami and they said they can not do anything, just to fill the report for the insurance. I just came from the movies from watching Tom Cruise. I'll know more tomorrow since he works with me.

I'm sure the police have more pressing items to prioritize than searching for a iPhone that wasn't stolen. It's up to you to recover it. I'm from Miami BTW.
