Hi guys.

I need some help.

I was playing around in bootcamp this morning when windows 7 froze forcing me to do a hard power off of my macbook.

When i turned it back on I got the flashing folder with a question mark in it. I know that this means that the macbook cannot find the operating system.

Here are the things i have tried to get it working.

1. Inserted the OSX cd and tried to re-install leopard. Problem is it reposts that there is no HD to install it onto

2. Used disk utilities to try and format the drive. In disk utilities the drive shows up as 'Media' but all the options are greyed out and i cannot format it etc.

3. I have put the drive into a USB enclosure and plugged it into a windows machine. I have then tried to use Data Lifeguard (its a WD drive) to format the drives but again no go. Its resgonized as a 300 GB drive but says there are no partitions and therefore cannot format it.

4. I have reset PRAM and SMC

Can anyone help me make this drive usable?
I'm not bothered about the data on it as i have it all backed up but would just like to get my machine working again...
