Are there any rumours of a new ipod hitting the market any time soon? I would hate to buy one only to have a newer one hit the market in a month or so. (I know kinda a lame topic, but I just wonder if after the iphone is out if we will see some new ipods?)

I seriously doubt we'll see them for a while. Eventually, yes. But Apple wants to sell iPhones, so I wouldn't expect one until after the first of the year

I'd wait...but then again I have an iPod right now. I'm not sure what I'd do if I didn't have one.
I'd suggest buying a iPod shuffle, then buying a 6G when they come out later(I'd guess later this year)
The 5G has been out for a while, and is due for an update, but we(most of use here at Macrumors) thinks Apple is holding the 6G iPod to bump up iPhone sales
