Hi Everyone,

I have new Macbook Pro 13" with 10.6.4 OS.

Anyway I let my battery calibrate this morning as I've read this is good for your computer and let the computer be for the whole day. However when I came back the application Garageband was open (I distinctly remember quitting) and even had edited a version of a song I made when I first used it (this music I never saved on my computer).

I checked Console and here is a sample of what I found:

I've attached a longer version. Any help would be deeply appreciated as I am worried about the security of my laptop right now. :(

Do a clean install of osX, which you should have done prior to installing your programs, etc, etc.
And check out for that pirated software you just downloaded :p, it could have a trojan or two that let's someone get remote access to your machine.

Btw, macbook pro forum that way ->

Sorry By Clean Install do you mean reformat (as you would with a PC?) and how do I do this? Will I lose all my documents?

Also does that mean someone will have access to all my passwords and would you recommend to change them etc?

Sorry about the wrong forum, I'm new and didn't realize it was the wrong place.

Console log aside, is it possible you inadvertently selected the "Open at Login" option for GarageBand on the Dock? If you right-click an application or file in the Dock, the resulting pop-up menu has that option. If you enabled it for GarageBand, it would cause it to start automatically upon login (or startup if you have auto-login enabled).

Just a thought . . .

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately I didn't have it open at login though I did have it at my dock permanently. It still wouldn't explain how a random song was edited and saved on my desktop and I'm 100% sure no one else used my MBP.
