help: Getting No Facebook push messages at all since uninstallilng FB Messenger

I installed facebook messenger and thought it was stupid having two apps that do the same thing. so i uninstalled messenger, and now facebook doesn't push anything from chat to me. anyone have this issue?

have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the facebook app?

In the Facebook app, tap More > Account Settings > Notifications > Mobile Push

Make sure messages is checked. They really buried these options...

Also check Settings > Facebook > Settings > Chat and Message Alerts on the phone.
