HELP! Got a new Macbook, but dont want to lose iphone music/apps/etc

Well usually I use my windows pc to sync my iphone, but that is too old and slow to where its non usable. anyways, most of the google searches i did concerned questions on this from 08, but i still didnt find much.

so macrumors, is there any way to transfer all my files from iphone as well as use my new macbook to sync?

cliffs (tl;dr)
-got new mac
-want to use it to sync from now on for iphone
-dont want to lose apps/music/etc

Authorize Mac in iTunes
Right click on iPhone in iTunes and Transfer Purchases
Backup iPhone
Use Senuti or expod to transfer music.
