I downloaded skype app (first one i downloaded apart from facebook which i downloaded directly on phone) but i am unable to sync it to my iphone for some reason. When i go to Apps tab by selecting the device. Its all disabled.

I did check that all the restrictions were turned off however this did not work
I also did a deauthorize and authorized the computer however this did not work

Any help in resolving the above issue would be appreciated. I have also attached a screen shot for reference

It looks like the phone thinks you're synced with a different computer. Did you change your Apple Store log-in name on either the phone or on iTunes?

Well I would have appreciated one response at lease... >< Any moderators here to help me with the issue please please please

Did I miss something or have you not actually selected any apps to sync?

EDIT: I posted too soon.
1. tick they "sync apps" box
2. tick the apps you want to sync
3. click sync

Click the "Sync Apps" box and select the apps you want on your phone.

Edit: Oops, too late.

I like what you said, but I want to add visual aids just in case.

Well as i mentioned earlier in the thread all the options you marked are disabled and i am not able to select any option from the list of apps that I have downloaded even the sync apps button mate :(

Thanks a lot for your response, Would really really appreciate if you could help me resolve this.

On the front tab (the one with the pic of an iPhone), click 'Manual Sync'. Then 'sync'. Then go to the apps tab and click 'Sync Apps'

Really, 'sync apps' on it's own should work fine, as the other posters have pointed out, but if not, try all the steps.

Per this post: https://discussions.apple.com/message/11582272#11582272

Check your iPad Settings, on the iPad itself. Look under General / Restrictions and see if you have "Installing Apps" turned off.

Thanks it resolved my issue. Thanks a lot mate :)
