As the title says, every time I maximize a window, there is some space in the left side and it's very annoying. Is my macbook flawed? How can I deal with this?

What application are you running?
Can't you drag/resize the window to close the gap? that works for me and next time i launched the same app, it remembers the window size & location.

No matter what app I run, there is also that small gap (Chrome, Firefox, a game which is not fullscreen, etc).
I think there may be a problem with my screen?
I got tired to resize it every time :(
