I just bought a new MBP and have been trying to get the new Music app to recognize my "iTunes" folder (found in macOS's Music folder). Whenever I switched macs in the past I've been able to just drop the "iTunes" folder in the "Music" folder and launch iTunes and it would recognize my old library complete with all media (music, movies, TV shows, and playlists).

But in 10.15.2 I can't get Music to recognize my iTunes library folder. It has about 20,000 songs in it and about 200 video files.

I try and import in the music app, but it doesn't import any of my existing playlists nor the date I originally added my media to my old iTunes library.

And another important point: I copied this foldr from my previous Mac running 10.5.2 and using the Music app.

Any help please? I can't figure out what to do? I have no idea why it's not recognizing my library now.

I've attached the screenshot of the folder with all my media and playlists that I'm trying to get Music to recognize. I want to import everything in the iTunes folder including all the subfolders as they contain all my media/playlists.

Be sure the iTunes library points to files in the same location after you copy them all from another computer. If you had have thing in the ~/Music/iTunes folder, just copy that.
Delete and files in ~/Music/Music
Open the Music app with the Option key depressed and ask it to open a new library. Navigate to the ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes/itl file and open that.
If Music asks you to create a ~/Music/Music/Music1 library you can change that name back to Music, since you sit deleted that.
Wait and enjoy. If you library is large the art will take forever.
Delete anything you might have in ~/Movies/TV and open the TV app, it should automatically find your movies and tv shows.
