Hi guys, i need help!

my iphone 3gs is disabled and it tells me to connect to itunes, but i did not generate any backups before, not once :(
so doing a restore will lose all my pictures and contacts O_O

now i did some research and someone said i could get past the passcode by deleting something like /mobile/Library/Preferences/com.apple.springboard.plist

how can i do that?
or is there any alternative i can get my phone back and running?

btw my iphone is not jailbroken

plz help me :(

your phone and you do not know the passcode?

Man, seen tons of these threads and they go no where fast. I've learned(since gettin married and admittedly whipped in the process haha) that locking my phone does no good, it will just piss them off. Just don't have anything to hide. Or get a password protected photo app, maybe there is something in there u don't want her to see? Ehh? Ehh? Wink... I don't have a solution, guessing u can find one here:

Why do people even respond to this :p LOL (jk I'm responding too...)

If you have a 3GS, I'm going to assume you've had it for a while and just have not upgraded. And during that time, if you EVER put any music on it or installed any apps through your computer, it'll create a backup. I mean, hell, it's pretty hard not to have any backups at all, considering iTunes does them almost automatically for you the moment you do anything.

I don't care what your story is, because it doesn't matter. There is no way around the iPhone passcode...and there never will be. It's put there for a reason. If you cannot remember a four digit code, perhaps you should choose simpler sequences (1111, 1234, 5555, etc) or not use any passcode at all.

No one here is going to go out of their way to help you find a solution just because you have an overprotective girlfriend, if that's even true. I mean if you were like...a war veteran who suffered a head injury and wanted the pictures your wife MMS'd you of her and your child(ren) and the phone is verified to be genuinely yours, someone MIGHT consider helping you. But that war vet would have to overcome a whole lot of skepticism before anyone considers it.

Even if there was a solution, I wouldn't help you because I think you stole someone's phone. The wanting to save the photos thing is just some lie, imo.
If you are telling the truth, maybe you should stop acting like a Tiger Woods to your gf so she won't distrust you so much.

Also, considering that ios 5 has an auto backup, I don't believe that there aren't any backups. So, I'm thinking you stole the phone.

Why did this thread go up to almost 20 replies? I think Mods should close this thread because it will not go anywhere. We should rather spending time on helping others with their issue/problem than this one.:)

If your on a old IOS then google will show you how to get around it, other that that your sol as i don't think anyone here would help as they don't believe your story

You suck with google!! Try gecko toolkit and next time try jailbreak forums instead of these Mac ones

Maybe buy your own phone instead of stealing someone else's.

I love when we bring up old threads again! ahhhh memories! :D

I know the police have a handy dandy tool that goes right pass the passcode screen; sponsored by the Government. Maybe try persuading a cop with a bagful of donuts to help you out.

old thread is back!!
