HELP, how to erase contacts on itunes and add new ones from Iphone

I have all these old contacts on my itunes and all my new ones on my iphone. I need to erase the old ones on Itunes and add the new ones from the iphone. I tried making a new account but it pulled up the same info when i connected my phone. how do I delete them?
